Bell schedule timer

Enter your school's periods once, and this page always knows where you are in the day: how much time is left in the current class, when to start cleaning up, and what comes next. There's no alarm: the screen turns amber a few minutes before the end, and your calendar can put the same reminder on your phone's lock screen.

For teachers who lose track of time in class

When you're teaching, the clock on the wall is easy to forget. The bell rings in the middle of an activity, the room isn't tidy, students leave late for their next class, or you end up cleaning on your own. New teachers feel it most, but so does anyone who runs a lab, an art room or a workshop. This page is a bell schedule countdown made for that moment:

  • The time left in the current period in big numbers, with the end time and the next period underneath.
  • A clean-up reminder 2 to 10 minutes before the end of each class: the screen turns amber, then red for the last minute. It's silent by default; add a soft chime, a vibration or a notification if you like.
  • Passing time, lunch and breaks are counted too: between two periods the page shows when the next one starts.
  • Several schedules (regular day, early release, assembly or block days), each on its own weekdays, and a one-tap switch for today only.
  • A full-screen mode that keeps the screen on, for a phone on your desk or the classroom display so students see the countdown too.
  • A link and a QR code to share the schedule with colleagues and students.

The countdown on your iPhone lock screen, without an app

Apps can show a Live Activity on the iPhone lock screen; websites can't. The closest thing that works today is your own calendar: the Calendar button adds every period to your phone as a weekly event, with an alert a few minutes before the end of each class.

Your iPhone then shows that alert on the lock screen and on an Apple Watch, with nothing open. To keep it discreet, set Calendar Alerts to None in Settings › Sounds & Haptics: you keep a silent vibration. Add the Calendar widget to your lock screen to see the current period at a glance. On Android and on computers, the same file opens in your calendar app.

Why a clean-up reminder helps

Transitions take more class time than they seem to, and the end of a lesson is the one most often rushed. A signal a few minutes before the bell gives everyone time to put materials away, hand in work and leave on time, and it lets you close the lesson calmly instead of shouting over the bell.

Five minutes suits most classes. Science labs, art rooms, workshops and kitchens often need ten. Because the reminder is visual, it doesn't interrupt anyone: students who can see the screen start packing up on their own.

Private, free and offline

Your schedule stays in your browser: there's no account, and nothing about you or your students is sent to a server. A share link carries the schedule itself, so whoever opens it gets a copy they can change without touching yours.

The page keeps working offline once it has loaded, on computers, Chromebooks, tablets, phones and interactive displays. It's free, with no ads, made by an independent developer.

How the Pomodoro timer works

Four simple steps. No account, nothing to install: it runs right here in your browser.

  1. 11

    Pick what to work on

Add a task and estimate how many pomodoros it needs. The active task is credited automatically when a session ends.

  2. 22

    Start the timer

Press Start (or the Space bar) and give the task your full attention until the bell rings.

  3. 33

    Take a real break

Step away from the screen for 5 minutes. Stretch, drink some water, rest your eyes.

  4. 44

    Repeat, then rest longer

After four pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. Your stats and streak update on their own.

Everything you need to focus. Nothing you don't.

A calm, distraction-free timer with the tools serious students and makers actually use.

Frequently asked questions

How can I see how much time is left in class?

Enter your bell schedule once on this page. It then shows the time left in the current period, its end time and the next period, all day and every school day, without having to start anything.

Can it show the time left on my iPhone lock screen?

A website can't create a Live Activity, but the Calendar button adds your periods to the iPhone calendar with an alert before the end of each class. The alert appears on the lock screen and on an Apple Watch, and it can be silent (vibration only).

Does it ring like an alarm?

No. It's meant to work alongside your school's bell. The clean-up reminder is silent by default: the screen turns amber and can flash. You can add a soft chime, a vibration on Android phones, or a notification when the page is in the background.

Can I have different schedules on different days?

Yes. Create several schedules, such as a regular day, an early release day or block days, and tick the weekdays each one is used on. For a one-off change like an assembly, pick another schedule for today only: it switches back the next day.

Can students use it too?

Yes. Share the link or show the QR code: students get the same schedule on their phone or laptop, without an account, and see how long is left until the end of class.

Where is my schedule saved?

In your browser, on this device. To use it on another device, open the share link there: the schedule travels inside the link.
